Nature and Forest Therapy
Nature Immersions at Factory Shoals Park or Virtual Sessions on Zoom
During Nature Immersion, participants are led on a slow and gentle walk and guided to help them connect to their senses while in nature. This therapeutic process teaches the participants to use the intelligence of the body to calm the mind. Research has shown a decrease in cortisol, the stress hormone, and improvement of the immune system by the absorption of phytoncides.
Virtual Forest Therapy Sessions are also available. Join me from a park near you, your backyard, or even from your kitchen window with a houseplant! While most people benefit more from sessions from the park, virtual sessions are wonderful for those who are not able to commute to the park, such as the elderly or disabled. *Also, consider a mini virtual session during your lunch break!
