Hello my friends and Welcome to the Hawthorn Hedge!
This is the place for finding your inner joy through connecting with nature. I believe this will improve the relationship you have with yourself, support wellness and tap into your artistic expression. These are many branches of one therapeutic tree.
Forest Therapy is a practice of guided nature immersions, that enhance health, wellness, and happiness. In Forest Therapy, participants are led on very short, slow walks in nature, and asked a series of questions that allows them to focus on just one sensory perception at a time. During much of the Forest Therapy sessions, participants spend time listening and feeling with a quiet and accepting presence and this practice also promotes the overall improvement of human health. In recent years, people have become are more stressed, anxious, and depressed and have more chronic health conditions. Forest Therapy provides a pathway for people to remember how to immerse themselves in nature, to rest from all that consumes them in their daily lives and allows the imagination to awaken.
And finally the therapeutic feeling of interconnectedness that we will feel when we are able to form a good relationship with ourselves and others, which leads to stronger healthy communities. I work towards fostering a greater sense of compassionate connectedness, and encourage people to turn away from apathy, greed, and selfishness. Having compassion supports the kind of values that will support strengthened communities, and new solutions for the wellness of people and the planet. I am continuing my studies education into all these areas beyond my current certifications.
Jacques Cousteau once said, “People protect what they love.”
A heartfelt, embodied relationship with nature would naturally lead to a love of nature
and recognition that we are nature.
